A: was founded back in 1968 and a Leading brand with state of art advanced manufacturing plants at RAK. We are one of the largest manufacturers in rotomolded plastic industry with a name and fame across emirates recommended by consultants in general.Q: Why polyethylene plastic tanks?
- Polyethylene is non-corrosive for long life
- Lightweight and easy to handle – no heavy equipment needed
- Maintenance free – easier to repair
- Wide range of sizes available
- Very economical
- Meaningful warranties that include corrosion protection.
Q: What material uses to manufacture its poly tanks?
A: uses LLDPE (Linear Low density Polyethylene) to manufacture our broad tanks line. LLDPE has good structural rigidity and impact resistance. It is resistant to a broad range of chemicals including sulfuric acid, sodium hypochlorite, and sodium hydroxide. We also offer, for specific applications XLPE (Cross-linked polyethylene). Cross-linked polyethylene has excellent structural rigidity and impact resistance. It is used as an alternative to LLDPE and/or HDLPE for storing surfactants or solvent-based chemicals, or higher service temperatures.
Q: Are your tanks FDA approved?
A: The resin used to manufacture our liner low density polyethylene (LLDPE) tanks meet specifications contained in FDA regulations 21 CFR 177.1520, 3.2
Q: Are your tanks approved by Local Municipalities?
A: Our polyethylene tanks have been tested and approved by local municipalities of the seven emirates.
Q: Are you a quality management certified company?
A: We are an ISO 9001:2008 TUV certified company manufacturing a wide range of polyethylene tanks and road barriers in line with strict quality standards.
Q: What is the wall thickness of your tanks?
A: The wall thickness is not the best gauge for determining the quality of any tank. The very bottom of the tank is the thinnest part of the tank and is made that way to flex when the tank is empty or full. The actual weight of the tank is also not a good comparison when shopping for tanks. Just because a competitor may use more material in the tank does not make it a better tank. That is determined by the resin, mold design and the steps taken during the rotomolding process. Lower grades of resins will require a thicker tank wall to compensate.
Q: What do I get with my water tank?
A: With purchase of every water tank, you will receive two connectors (max. 2 inches) for inlet and outlet of your water tank. However, taps, gate valves, air vents and/or other tank accessories are available in our show rooms for purchase.
Q: Who can install my tank?
A: recommends professional plumbers for installation to avoid any leakage and/or damage to the tank. To meet all of your tank needs under one roof, we do offer tank installation services with very competitive prices.
Q: How long is the warranty on my tank?
A: warrants to the purchaser for any manufactured tank product proven to be defective in material or workmanship within 5 years from the date of original invoice on a range of Vertical Polyethylene tanks starting from 100 USG to 1000 USG. However, 1000 USG onward vertical capacities carries 3 years warranty from the date of invoice. An extended tank warranty may be available as a purchased option for an additional 2-year period.
Q: How do poly tanks differ from fiberglass tanks?
A:. Polyethylene (plastic) tanks are homogeneous;. The homogeneity of polyethylene plastic tanks protects against chemical attack if the plastic tanks are scratched or gouged. Fiberglass tanks are made differently from plastic tanks or poly tanks Fiberglass tanks are laminated, and can de-laminate over time. If fiberglass tanks are scratched or gouged, chemical attack may occur.
Q: Are there structural differences between fiberglass tanks and polyethylene plastic tanks?
A: Normal expansion and contraction can cause cracks within the layers of fiberglass tanks, allowing wicking and chemical attack. Expansion/ contraction doesn’t adversely affect polyethylene (plastic) tanks.
Q: Can our tanks be pressurized?
A: No, our tanks are designed for atmospheric pressure only.
Q: Can our tanks be buried under ground?
A: Polyethylene tanks specifically designed for above ground use cannot be put underground because the weight of the ground around the tank can cause the wall to collapse. If you have an application for a below ground tank we do have a septic tank line available that is designed for below ground use.
Q: Are your polyethylene tanks repairable?
A: Yes, In most cases Polyethylene tanks are repairable through plastic welding to be done by professional plastic welders unlike Fiberglass and FRP tanks.
Q: How long do your plastic tanks last?
A: There is no good single answer. It all depends on the application and the exposure of tank. However, in the light of customer’s feedback and our queries, our tanks last for minimum of ten years from the date of purchase.
Q: Can I store fuels such as diesel and gasoline in your tanks?
A: Normally polyethylene tanks are meant for drinking water and not to be recommended for storing fuel and/or gasoline as they will permeate (soften) the tank walls.. However, we do have an application to make fuel and chemical resistant polyethylene tanks to meet your needs.
Q: Would my tank be produced under controlled conditions to ensure quality and consistency?
A: Yes! Our production is totally controlled as per the Quality management system and in line with quality standards. Not all Manufacturers or Importers of Tanks can boast this achievement.
Q: Then what testing would my Tank have passed?
Testing begins even before our Tanks are produced. New Tank Designs are first exposed to Physical Finite Element Analysis to ensure the design is robust and fit for purpose.
A Typical Tank Test Plan is as follows:
- Raw material resin certification from supplier to AS4020 & AS 2070 (Potable Water &Food Grade)
- Compound Powder Certification to AS4020 & AS 2070. Color pigments for algae growth prevention UV additives to enhance material longevity.
- In-house Laboratory Testing for Melt Flow Index, Particle Size, Sieve Testing.
- Product Thickness Testing using non-destructive Ultra Sonic Thickness Testing.
- Sample Impact Testing to assure material compliance during processing.
- Slice Test analysis to ensure non-porous wall integrity.
Capacity Testing to ensure the stated specified capacity of your tank is assured. - Final Inspection, which includes a final visual check that your Tank meets acceptance criteria for first grade quality.
- Pre-Delivery Inspection, our drivers are trained to handle inspect product, ensuring you receive only Tanks that meet our internal standards. If it’s not acceptable to them it’s not loaded.
- Traceability: Your Tank has a unique identification Serial Number, you can find this on every nameplate on the side of each Tank. This number enables us to trace the product back to base resins received through our record system.
Inspection Test records are also accessible which identify the type of test and responsible Team Poly representative, who approved your Tank.
